Dr. Enns began in ministry while studying at Winnipeg Bible College.
His first role was as Student Pastor at McDermott Avenue Baptist Church,
a German speaking fellowship, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
There he ministered to the English speaking people on Sundays and Wednesdays.
During this time he also worked as an architectural draftsman, designing homes.

Dr. Paul Enns founded this seminary in 1987.
He turned the school over to Dallas Seminary in 1994.
It became the Dallas Seminary extension in Tampa, Florida.
He also served as Professor of Systematic Theology and
Director of the Tampa Extension of Dallas Theological Seminary.

Responsible for entire educational oversight of the church.
Trained Sunday School teachers and taught Junior Church and High School.
Organized college and career and “Jolly Sixties”.
Implemented a training program resulting in many being trained and equipped.

Interim Pastor
Fairibault Community Church, Faribault, Minnesota, 1979-1980.
Encouraged the congregation after the pastor became cultic.
The church dwindled from 200 to 20 people.
Dr. Enns helped them find a pastor.

In 1995 Dr. Paul Enns founded the Institute Of Biblical Training.
In 1996 this became the Southeastern Baptist Seminary, Tampa Extension.

In 1996 Dr. Enns assumed a dual role:
Professor of Theology
Southeastern Baptist Theological  Seminary, Tampa Extension
and
Minister Thru Biblical Training and Leadership Development
Idlewild Baptist Church, Tampa, Florida
He continues in these dual roles into the present.

At Idlewild Baptist Church Dr. Enns initiated an in-house training program
called Life Change University which he continues to oversee.
About 75 courses are offered with four courses cycled every two years:
How To Study The Bible;
Survey of Bible Doctrine;
Survey of Old Testament;
Survey of New Testament
.
Dr. Enns teaches two courses at Southeastern Baptist Seminary cycled every two years:
Hermeneutics;
Christian Theology I, II, and III.
